A Unique Plan as Unique as You
Okay. Let’s get to the point here. Why do we think one approach is going to work for everyone to lose weight or improve their health conditions? It’s actually so ridiculous! Okay, so everyone has a head, torso and limbs, but the similarities can stop there. While we can find similarities within cultural groups, a person’s unique body chemistry is still very diverse from their neighbor, or even sister.
How are you unique?
Let’s look at all the ways you are unique from even family members. When we consider a nutrition plan of whole foods that provide the best nutrients and minerals for you, we are going beyond physical differences, especially your size. While your size is considered a factor as part of determining your BMI, rather than looking at what is, let’s look at why it is.
Your size, symptoms, etc. are contributed to your health status and how your metabolic processes are functioning. Difference ailments and diseases can factor in how those processes are working as well. Ask yourself these questions:
What diagnosis do you have?
Are there ailments you suffer from like: acne, flatulence, achy joints, migraines, reflux, bloating, etc.
Do you have environmental allergies or food allergies?
Learning about your health and becoming aware of some of these things, you start to recognize that experiencing some of these symptoms is not a state of good health. While you may experience similar symptoms of those in your family, it doesn’t mean that your body is expressing good health.
How does Metabolic Balance® make a unique plan for you?
Metabolic Balance ® is based on the principles that:
“Each individual is able to produce hormones and enzymes, which are needed to create a balanced metabolism. This requires a sufficient supply of nutrients through correct nutrition.” [1]
With a balanced nutrition plan, it provides you with a plan to develop a lifestyle. You begin to eat whole foods, healthy fats, adopt healthy cooking methods, and follow the 8 Rules from Metabolic Balance® everyday. In doing so, you will find the healthy habits/routines that create a healthy lifestyle to not only lose weight and gain health, but sustain it as well.
While Metabolic Balance® plans are structured similarly, what is unique is the food list, meal plans and portion sizes. Some clients may be recommended to monitor certain parts of their health specifically as they work with their plan. And some have a recommendation of a supplement for the first couple of weeks as they work with their plan.
No Metabolic Balance® plan is alike and it is emphasized that others should not use the plan specifically for their own health needs. If someone is interested in a plan, they should be referred to a coach to receive their own unique plan. [1]
How is your FCM Coaching Program Unique for You?
Your FCM Coaching program includes how you think, eat and move. While we’ve specifically talked about the unique program of how you eat, let’s talk about how you think and move. Our coaches are Certified Intrinsic Coaches that support the way you think, work through challenges through the power of your own thinking. Our coaching is focused on strategies that are best for you and your uniqueness within your life. While we include strategies such as the Growth Mindset strategy as developed by Carol Dweck and Tiny Habits by BJ Fogg, within these strategies, we help you recognize and develop your own personal development to successfully make a lifestyle change for your health and quality of life.
If you are one that already has a work out routine, great, but if you don’t, we have you covered! Either way, our movement part of our program brings awareness to your physical capabilities and supports you from where you are at to build healthy habits of keeping movement as part of your daily routine. Even if you have a specific workout routine, we will help with assessing if there is an area that needs attention as well and build an easy to follow routine to include with what you already have.
While our program has a structure to it that doesn’t have you guessing what to do next and provide you with a confident plan for the next 9 months, there is a lot of room that provides you the opportunity to make this work for you.
